| Reversible embroidery (double-sided embroidery), our Chinese traditional handicraft, takes the special needle for knitting the colorful patterns according to the previous designed pictures and the arranged colors. As early as 300 year BC, this craftsmanship in China has reached a co***ratively high level. Its patterns, similar to the designed images, have been embroidered on two sides of a lucent grounding material, but pictures on the two sides of the embroidered works are very different in themes, conceptions, colors, as well as the knitting stitches. Craftsmanship of the double-sided embroidering in China reached a remarkable stage in 400 A.D. The distinctive difference between the reversible embroidery and the single-sided embroidery is that the former has the demand of pattern's tidiness and well-distributed stitches on both sides.
